About Alex
Alex is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association and is registered as a Counselling Therapist (RCT) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. She works with adults navigating a variety of issues using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches. Alex is committed to creating a warm, collaborative space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered in their healing process.
EMDR Trained Therapist
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based approach that helps the nervous system process and release stuck emotional patterns. It’s especially useful for those feeling weighed down by past experiences, chronic stress, or relational wounds. I integrate EMDR gently and collaboratively, tailoring it to your pace and needs to support lasting shifts in how you feel, relate, and respond.
Regulating the Nervous System: 6 Weeks to Calm
A guided, one-on-one program for individuals experiencing overwhelm, burnout, or nervous system dysregulation who are seeking greater emotional steadiness. Over six sessions, you’ll move through structured, trauma-informed education and support to better understand your unique stress responses, practice practical regulation skills, and build sustainable routines and habits that foster calm, balance, and long-term resilience.
