Payment & insurance information
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) with certification #10011098 and am also registered with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT) with registration #RCT-C22-046. As a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) I have full professional liability insurance.
I offer direct billing through a number of insurance providers. Though not all companies allow this, a digital receipt will be provided to you after your payment is received, and if necessary, I am happy to provide any information you may need to submit receipts on your own. Please contact your insurance provider and verify whether your plan covers Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCCs) or Registered Counselling Therapists (RCTs / RCT-Cs) prior to booking your consultation.
Insurance Details
Depending on your health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for online counselling services to be covered in full or in part. There are many insurance plans that are covered and allow for direct billing on my behalf. Please contact your provider before your first online counselling session to see if RCTs are a part of your insurance plan, and to verify how your plan compensates you for online counselling services.
I recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
Does my health insurance cover Registered Counselling Therapists and/or Certified Canadian Counsellors?
Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it, and have I met it yet?
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
